About me

Hi, my name is Leanne Eleff.  I live in Phoenix, Arizona, in the Southwestern part of the USA.  I’m a Bahá’í, and I want to make audiobooks of the sacred writings of the Baha’i Faith, so you can listen to and study the Healing Prescription for Mankind everywhere you go.

If you want this as badly as I do, leave a comment and let me know.  I can use the support!

———- Original “About me”————-

(View the post which explains why I decided to introduce myself more formally.)

Hi!  Call me El.  In the interest of efficiency,  here’s a short laundry list of labels I have used to describe myself to date:

- Baha’i (ever striving)
- Devoted wife
- Doting mother
- Loving daughter
- Engineer (Materials Science kind)
- Former Motorolan (bye-bye corporate America!)
- Communication scholar (workin’ both sides of the ole noodle )
- Stay at home mom (Hah!  Like I’m ever home!)
- Teacher (retired after two semesters)
- Feminist (don’t box me in on this one!)
- Wannabe athlete (yoga, running, hiking, mountain biking, karate, rock climbing, Wii Fit)
- Budding entrepreneur

It’s that last one that launched me from my virtual couch into the ethers of the blogosphere.  I made a list of all the attributes I wanted in my next career: completely flexible schedule, constantly challenging me to learn, serving the Baha’i Faith and thus, humanity, contributing to the financial well being of my family, utilizing my particular skills and talents, and engaging my passions.  That’s not asking for much, is it?

I’ve tried a few things on, but the most recent one seems to fit very well, and it’s pretty unusual: I’m starting a business to record Baha’i audiobooks, primarily focusing on the writings of the Baha’i Faith’s central figures.  This blog chronicles my efforts to build my dream job.  Wish me luck!

[...] Elsewhere, I’ve listed the requirements of “my perfect job,” including that it must “engage my passions.” As long as those passions are engaged, I will have a job that I can look forward to doing, rather than doing it because I must.  Serving humanity is one those passions.  I really want to do something that will make the world a better place, in a rather concrete, tangible way, and will hopefully outlast my little time here on earth.  [...]

Unity, I have added a Feedburner link at the bottom of my sidebar. It should allow you to receive my blog either as email, or as an RSS Feed. I’m not sure what all that means, but give it a try, and see what it does. Then let me know! My email is El.Verdanta@gmail.com.

    Thanks for asking!
